PRODUCT WARRANTY

Solteq warrants the performance of the tiles on the basis that their output in 40 years’ time will still be 80% of their output today. All our Solar Roof Tiles are 100% compliant with the rules of the German and American roofing trade. If used with a 50 Yr. underlayment and installed to specifications the roof is considered a 50 Year roof.

The glass used in our roofing is of the highest quality, being low iron oxide and oxygen levels, this make it much more resistant to oxidization and therefore frost proof.

What series do I need for my roof?

Our Series 9 interlocking tile is specially designed for verea clay tile roofs, while our Series 13 interlocking tile is designed for concrete and composite tile roofs. Please contact your nearest Solteq distributor to determine the ideal series for your roof.

What is the standard timeframe for installation?

Solteq does not install. To find a distributor in your area, please click here. If you have any questions regarding installation or general usage, please contact your local distributor for more information.

Will I need to replace my entire roof to get solar tiles?

We have the best solution for any size home. Whether you need a partial roof replacement or your entire roof, we can help you get the best energy savings for your home.

What is the average cost of solar tiles?

Solteq’s cost per year is usually lower than any other solar roofing option.

Are there areas where solar tiles are not allowed?

Solar rights laws have been enacted in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Massachusetts among other states, prohibiting condominiums, HOAs, and CICs from prohibiting solar installations on their rooftops.

Does the slope of the roof matter when installing?

Solteq’s solar roof tiles can be installed on any pitch between a 3/12 and a 12/12. We also have options for wall/facade mounted solar. In the US, the most effective pitch is between a 4/12 and a 6/12 south facing roof.

How does snow affect the choice of solar tiles?

Solteq tiles have been designed to allow snow to slide off easily. Upon exposure to the sun, they create a bit of heat to melt any remaining snow.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

The warranty on the solar tiles applies as listed in the warranty certificate. Information from product brochures may be out of date and therefore void. The manufacturer grants the statutory warranty on the electronic components for 12 months from the date of purchase. Damage caused by lightning strikes, water or moisture, as well as mechanical damage or non-compliance with these operating instructions are excluded from the warranty.

Note: The warranty only relates to defects that are discovered BEFORE installation and operational failures. Failures immediately after installation can be avoided with simple means by following these installation instructions. Check all components thoroughly BEFORE installation, to ensure that they are working properly. Any damage to packaging must be reported to the transport company immediately. The Junction boxes do not contain any serviceable parts, do not open them. The warranty becomes null and void when it the junction box opened.

Warranty on the performance: 40 year warranty on 80% of the installed capacity.

IMPORTANT: There is only a claim to this warranty if the system has been properly installed according to the installation instructions and with the correct performance values and the measured values have been recorded and have been sent to Solteq USA within 14 days of the date of installation. The submission must be confirmed with photographic evidence. If there is no confirmed submission of the measured values, there is no entitlement to this performance warranty. The delivered devices and their characteristics are to be checked intensively for the respective application and also to be fully tested electrically before installation. The warranty is void in the event of damage due to incorrect or improper handling, over-current or over-voltage problems. Compensation claims for consequential damage of any kind, including defects or misconduct caused by our products, are excluded in any case. The warranty is limited to repair or replacement (at our option) of the corresponding device. Returns must be made with freight paid. Deliveries are to be checked immediately after delivery. The warranty only applies to undamaged and unchanged goods that are in their original condition. The return must be sufficiently and properly packaged. Dismantling, replacement or other assembly costs cannot be covered. In the event of damage caused by non-observance of the instructions, the warranty claim is null and void. No liability is accepted for consequential damage.
